The Great Kampala Cook off

The year is coming to an end and we are loosening our pants to get ready to eat and have fun. It’s been a long year.

First thing on the food enjoyment agenda? The Great Kampala Cook off. In its inaugural edition, it promises a feisty competition between several cooks and several pro-chefs. Winners will walk away with prizes and bragging rights. Naturally, there will be food and fun for both adults and children.

But besides eating, attendees will also have a chance to learn from 3 seasoned chefs in amini master class sessions. First, Chef Ali, read more about him here, Chef Ali on cooking   will teach about sauces. Third, Chef Emma Gonahasa who started out at Obligato in 2001, started The mobile chefs, ran a cooking show on Urban TV and worked as executive chef at Nile Village hotel and Spa. In 2016, he opened Street light restaurant and pizzeria in Jinja.
